Avoid at all cost

Pro's -
Maybe the fact its Twilight but thats being generous - I wouldn't give it any pro's probably.
Con's -
Basic, simple, unoriginal, No fun, More then 1 controller essential.
I haven't written any reviews yet on Lovefilm but felt compelled to write one urging people not to waste their time with this.
I think the 5* ratings must be from people who haven't played the game but love the Twilight saga.
Firstly lets look at who would rent/buy this game.
Obviously Twilight fans - If you don't like Twilight you would avoid it.
Next if your reading this & considering renting it I would bet you have seen the first Twilight film & I bet not just the once as you're a Twilight fan right?
Stick with the film.
I really like the Twilight movies & have both on Blu-ray which have been watched a few times. My girlfriend is the mega fan who has also read and loves the books but we are both in agreement this game is a massive waste of time.
I've been playing video games for at least 20 years and would honestly put it bottom of the pile of games I have played by a mile.
I like movies, I like Twilight, I like games so this should appeal to me as it ticks all the boxes yet it most definitely doesn't.
I'm not a die hard fan like my girlfriend but all the questions were so easy. They are only based on the 1st film, fair enough, but if you've watched the film once your amazing at this game.
The controls are basic using the arrow pad to answer the multiple choice & some questions you shake the Wiimote to be the first to answer - the whole concept of the Wii is originality and fun - this has none of that.
Having more then one remote would help as this isn't one of them games you can share a remote so if you only have one the game seems stupid as your doing a one person quiz so being congratulated for winning against nobody is a bit stupid.
Again - avoid. I would have been appalled if I had spent hard earned cash on it. It's not a fun multiplayer game & it is much more fun to just sit around with mates & watch the film then play this.- Was this review helpful to you?

Completely Abyssmal
By MorganUK (1 review) from UK , 06 Apr 2010I have played the Scene IT games (Harry Potter / Friends) in their original format, ie Board and DVD and they are great fun.
The WII version is utterly appauling for a variety of reasons, and all the fun has been stripped away to leave a game that is not even remotly fun. Even winning leaves you cold and with a 'is that it' feeling.
The WII version strips away the board completely, and just leaves nothing but the DVD games. It keeps score and who ever scores the most wins.
The games are short, and some of them utterly pointless. Game types include
1) Multiple Choice with timer
2) Spot the missing object / person
3) Shake the remote to reveal a picture (stupid concept)
4) Clip with a question
5) Multiple choice with score penalities if you are wrong
The scoring is also totally unbalanced, with the clip questions (which can be as purile as 'What did x person say') can score 50000 points, whereas a multiple choice question is 5000, and a typical multiple choice round is only 4 questions.
You can create a longer game by specifying questions, but this is incredibly annoying as it treats each question as a round, and gives you an annoying end of round score check each time. After hearing Carisle saying the same phrase over and over gets mildly annoying.
There are bonuses to be unlocked, but these are nothing more than stills from the film.
My girlfriend who is a HUGE Twilight / edward fan was totally unimpressed.. we spent less than 20 mins playing and then the game was back in the envelope never to be played again.
DONT buy it DONT rent it, and even if you are a hardened Twilight fan, DONT BUY IT dont RENT it..
Dont say I didnt warn you. This game deserves no stars, but its not possible- Was this review helpful to you?
