Incisive, witty and worthwhile..

This was not at all what I expected, it is a witty, often laugh out loud, often cringeworthy film, that has some parts (if not all) that we can see in many of our own relationships and friends. I can see some reviewers were dissapointed by it not having 'sex' scenes or being artsy, it does not need the sex, and is close to real life rather than being in an way artsy. I didn't feel it to be at all like that. It was a charming fun poke at the vagaries of 'normal' relationships, and what it did, it did extremely well. It is one of those if you miss at the cinema, it is ideal to rent. I would put it on your rental list and give it a go.

Scenes of a Tedious Nature

To be fair, neither my wife nor I were particularly in the mood for this type of film and so were disappointed when the film kicked it. The dialogue between the couples aren't really that interesting and we both agreed we couldn't put up with them for 90 minutes and turned it off after 30! Just wasn't our bag.
