You won't learn anything here...By PaulaWestwood (397 reviews) from Ashton-Under-Lyne , 06 Mar 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]Napoleon Dynamite was a wierdly odd, off the wall, funny movie. So why on earth did John Heder get tied up in this tosh. Along with BB Thornton, he deserves six of the best from head, because apart from one or two quite funny moments, this is a padded out 'loser' film that has no heart, no real story and is about as interesting as an algebra class (Sorry Miss White - I enjoyed them really)..
Most of us like films where the underdog comes through, but at the end of this you won't care less. I know this might seem over critical, but John Heder deserves better, this isn't it.
I would play truant from this, and give it a miss. Unless you get detention and have nothing else to do, forget it.

Scandalous remakeBy a customer from Thame, Oxon , 29 Nov 2008As with most American remakes of British classics, this one unfortunately fails to deliver. Jon Heder tries to act outside of his Napoleon Dynamite persona, but this is a little difficult as that is the only one that he has. Similarly, Billy Bob Thornton plays the baddie with relish, though without anything new to bring to the story. If you want to see the film, check out the original first with terry Thomas.
