This film is definatley worth the watch, you get it all, laughs, cringes, sadness.

Ryan Reynolds is as ever brilliantly funny, the story is very moving, definatley a movie for the whole family.

Reynolds is proving himself to be a versatile actor. He gives a moving performance as the inspiring teacher who is terminally ill,Mr.D in this movie.I have given 2 stars for that, but as far as the film was concerned I found it quite mediocre, your usual corny tear jearker.

School of Life is a quite enjoyable if somewhat run of the mill film, about teachers and inspiration.

It's a light bright breezy film and does not stray into the dark areas of the soul in the same way as the brilliant Reese Witherspoon film Election.

David Paymer play the lead ,Matt Warner a stuck in the mud teacher, who is losing touch with his son, under the burden of being the son of a great educator and much loved teacher.

Ryan Reynolds plays the new teacher Mr D who comes to the school and is the spark that changes not only the students, but also the other teachers, including the overburdened Matt Warner.

While not as engaging as other films of this genre, it's a decent film with some good scenes and a overall positive message about taking a hold of life and living it.

Truth be told it's not as good as Dead poets society, but is less maudlin, and is definitely better than Mona Lisa Smile. However I much prefer Half Nelson and School of Rock
