Rent. Good for one viewing.By Scrat from Gwent , 02 Oct 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]From a nostalgic point of view this film is very faithful to the cartoons I used to watch as a kid. Shaggy's voice is excellent. It even captures the 70's feel, with the style of clothing.
Great for parents who used to watch the cartoon series and can now sit with their own children and enjoy. The occasional toilet humour jokes are thrown in for good measure.
A good film to rent, but wouldn't recommend buying, unless you're a big fan.

Little bit dissappointing but still funBy a customer from London , 01 Feb 2009If you enjoyed the first, then you'll find this a reasonable follow-up. It lacks some of the pace and style of the first, but is worth watching.

SCooby dooby doooo watch thisBy RossKF (23 reviews) from Kingston upon Thames , 21 Sep 2008I actually liked this and didnt think the first one was awful actually.
But this one is more akineed to the cartoons we grew up with so its pretty comical , Matthew Lillard is fantastic as Shaggy! hes so well cast , everyone is and they act very well in it .
The monster effects could have been much much better , while SFX dont make a movie...they can hinder it if done poorly like here , the effects are not somerthing youd have thought would have made it to cinema more straight to dvd release.
Its not scary nor amazingly clever..but its scooby doo what were you expecting , its fairly harmless good family fun film , you can do alot alot worse , there are a few good laugh out moments and the rest ticks along nicely so you dont get bored.
DOOOOO put it on your rental if youve come here and are deciding whether to see it or not , it wont leave a doggy doo taste in the mouth.
Customer ReviewBy a customer from UK , 23 Jun 2008If you watched the first movie or the scooby doo cartoon series on which this is based, you'll know what to expect. Monsters and ghouls with a human face behind them. This movie is more of the same. That's not to say it's bad, it's not. It's quite entertaining and has some unexpected twists and turns. What lets it down is the amount of padding in between the action.
It's still worth a watch. Good family entertainment.
