Talk about a misnomer! But, then, talk is all they ever do in this dismal stage to screen transfer. An unusually strong cast including Faye Dunaway and James Earl Jones rant and rave to little effect in a philosophical tale of sex and Southern girl Emily Lloyd who would rather hide under the bed than be in it on her wedding night. She plays Splendid and her name is the only thing that is in a tepid Tennessee Williams inspired, high-decibel shouting match barely held together by globs of blue bayou mysticism.
