...impressive fight scenes
The Scorpion King 2: Rise Of A Warrior is a superb dvd, but does not star The Rock as The Scorpion King in this movie.
In this film, you travel back to the beginning, and watch as a legend is born, in this prequel to The Scorpion King.
Having watched his father die at the hands of the King, young Mathayus (played by Michael Copon who starred in Power Rangers: Time Force), embarks on a life long quest for vengeance, that will transform him into a warrior, whose very name has the power, to strike fear into the heart of the ancient world.
Russel Mulcahy directions this sequel. He directed Highlander and Resident Evil: Extinction.
Also in this film are: Randy Couture playing Sargon of Akkad and Karen David as Layla the heroine, who is Mathayus' childhood friend and love.
Well worth watching....
OMG!! DO NOT BOTHER!
Well that was two hours of my life I'll never get back.
Bad acting, bad effects and bad script. This is no where near on par with the first Scorpion King. The rough American accents and a posh English speaking Greek (I think for comic effect!) really didn't help you get in the mood or the feel of the previous movie.
Should just go to telly and maybe be a film you'll pick on a duvet day, when you don't mind falling asleep during it. However, I think the special effects of 'Clash of the Titans' will still out do this movie.
