Not revealing at all!

I love visiting Scotland! I hoped that this series may show me a few places I hadn't been. The presenter promised to show Scotland as 'never seen before' - it sounded good but failed to deliver. The 3 programmes only showed a few snippets of Scotland for example they only visited one island! This is hardly revealing. The islands are beautiful and have a diversity of wildlife and landscape unique to Scotland, nothing was made of this.
The presenter was easy on the eye but really didn't reveal anything of Scotland, she seemed to be more impressed by Glasgow (pronounced Glasss gow for some reason) than the stunning scenery!
In the end I'm not sure who this programme was made for, it can't help people decide whether to visit and Scots themselves would but dumbfounded at the lack of detail and revelation.
I have given it 1.5 stars as occasionally the aerial photography shows how beautiful the landscape is before scurrying back to talk about a bridge or something similarly uninspiring.

(2)Nice aerial photography
By Andy_UK (3 reviews) , 14 Dec 2011Although the DVD as some really nice aerial photography it does fall short on the 'never seen before' claim. It does not really show a great deal that is new and hardly touches the islands around Scotland.
It tends to just skip about from place to place and has very little depth to it. It could really have done with being spread out of more DVD's and covered Scotland in more detail.
Don't get me wrong it's not a bad DVD and the presenter does a good job and does give you a taste of what to expect if you visit Scotland.- Was this review helpful to you?
