Most helpful review Scrooge

  • by far the Best

    [Highly rated reviewer]

i have seen all the different versions of scrooge and this one is by far the best, Very often musicals can be tiresome and the songs tend to get in the way of the film but not in this case. Albert finney is a master of his craft and he plays scrooge magnificently, this is a must see, especially at christmas

Thankya very much Mr Scrooge, 'Albert Finney'! I thought i had seen all the Scrooge films untill i came across this quite by accident on my rental list. I must have thought it was one i'd seen before. Anyway i'm so happy i did because it's brilliant, probably the best Scrooge i've seen. I can't get the song out of my head now...thankya very much!! LOVE IT!!

This extraordinary film is a must see for the whole family. Probably one of the best musicals ever. Acting is superb - everything is perfect.

This film was different to the other christmas carols that I have seen in the past especially for Albert Finney that I have seen him in.

The music was brilliant and the ghosts were brilliant.

  • A forgotten great.

This film has probably been eclipsed by Oliver but has a quality of its own that makes it an entertaining view.

    Good casting. Lovely music.

If you haven't seen it then rent it. If it is a long while since you saw it then give yourself a worthwhile reminder.

Five stars maybe a little high for this film but it's really dear to my hart; It brings back wonderful memories of Christmases and love ones both long gone. Why did you leave me Grandma..........WHY!?!
