A little known classic. This is the kind of film you've forgotton they used to make. Attenborough expertly plays the put upon husband to Stanley, reluctantly fullfilling her ever more disturbing wishes. Forbes in his element.
This is one of the moody 'sort of' thrillers that we were famous for in the 50's & 60's. It's a good film, and as one earlier reviewer noted, the outside footage certainly takes you back. I recommend this film be watched with a cup of Bournvita or Horlicks (maybe even Bovril), and a slice or two of toast. Entertaining hokum, and really worth a watch.
