I watched this film expecting to be entertained,to find an easy watching undemanding film;I did not expect historical accuracy,but unfortunately this film also lacks a strong storyline,good characterisation or a taut script-so what are we left with? -well, a blend of supernatural/fantasy a few special effects,which are pretty good and a far fetched parable.Nearly Average.- Was this review helpful to you?

Witchfinder pointless

Nicolas Cage must have got a hefty 'leccie bill to pay when he signed up to make this rubbish. Good actors hamming up a terrible script. Avoid like the plague.- Was this review helpful to you?

Cliche upon cliche

Possibly the daftest swords and chain mail film I have ever sat through. Sometimes, costumes and special effects totally overshadow any semblance of a plot and this is the case here. Avoid if crass nonsense gets on your nerves! I like Cage and his sense of humor but this film does not work for him or us.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good Movie!
By Jordan (300 reviews) from London , 14 Dec 2012I actually enjoyed this movie. Personally I did not find the actress suitable for her role as the witch, despite her being a good actress overall. Despite this fact, the movie was still entertaining. The magic that she possessed was creepy enough and created a spooky atmosphere. Good enough acting overall and worth watching if you are into adventure/horror movies.
