Not bad. Action fans will enjoyBy Graham from UK , 18 Dec 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]The next of JC Van Dammes long list of easy action movies and it is exactly what you might expect from a Van Damme movie. It would appear the director has tried to change his style slightly to a tenser thriller movie rather than an all out violent action movie and to a degree Second in Command does this but JC Van Damme is no Denzel and before long it becomes much the same as his usual movies, female romance interest, all action hero, initially ignored before battling his way to an eventual victory. Some of the acting, mostly from the supporting roles was shocking and the script was full of holes but it was good enough entertainment and there is a little tension with hostage situations, sieges and even a late twist that we did not expect much ..Not bad. Action fans will enjoy well enough. 3 Stars.

Van DammagedBy Shuffla (24 reviews) from Rushden , 05 Feb 2008Those of you that love van damme films stay away from this one.
Jean made some real dodgy movies in between his greats and this isnt great at all.
GoodBy amgod110867 (85 reviews) from Ipswich , 25 Jan 2008My husband enjoyed this movie. Unfortunately not a ladies movie but definitely a mans flick.
Damme him! Not worth the plastic its burnt on!By buffo (14 reviews) from Carshalton , 25 Jun 2007Not a lot to say about this film really ......
Special effects done on an amiga 500, worst story line done millions of times before, what appears to be the lowest budget on a film due to the set size, ham acting ..... need I go on.
VanDamme hasn't yet realised that he's got to stick to the classic, 'I'm a fighter so I'll fight' movies but is going on low budget films with the makers hoping to draw people in with his name, so.... would I watch it again .... nope, not a chance!
loved itBy shedboy (11 reviews) from Dundee , 25 Jun 2007if you like action films this is the film for you. brilliant
Maybe more like fifth in command!By Lou1 (31 reviews) from Exeter , 31 May 2007Could be better. As a Van Damne fan I was bitterly disappointed. Quite a preposterous story, but that doesn't normally matter - it just wasn't very exciting. Film could have been told in 1 hour. Maybe worth the watch but don't buy it...renting the best way to try it out! I was more disappointed than disgruntled.
