Complete first series of the British television comedy drama, about a mismatched pair of divorcees who are trying to make a go of a new relationship, despite the pressures of their contrasting backgrounds and their bad experiences with relationships in the past. In this series, Faith (Lynda Bellingham) has to introduce Bill (James Bolam) to her children, and Bill learns what it's like to live with Faith for a whole day after he becomes ill with food poisoning. Includes all seven episodes: 'Found and Lost'; 'Match of the Day'; 'Night Moves'; 'She Who Hesitates'; 'Nursing a Conscience'; 'The Late Late Show' and 'Marriage of Inconvenience'.

Undemanding comedy

A welcome revisit to the ITV sitcom, Lynda Bellingham (Mrs OXO) and James Bollam (When the boat comes in) are on top form, the comedy is prfedictable, unchallenging and middle class ... a typical ITV sitcom.

If you have seen the TV series and liked it, then the DVD is worth renting for a reprise, if you have not seen the TV series then you are not missing much in my opinion. There is funnier and better sitcom waiting!

This is my first time watching the first series of Second Thoughts. I had previously watched series 2 and 3 on ITV, and they are classics. However, this first series lack the family feeling that I felt the cast had in the later series. It is still worth watching though.
