History Colour Music ..... not just trains

An idyllic time lost - did it ever exist? A feel good collection accompanied by clipped British accents - who patronise the subjects - but can't conceal the fact that 'ordinary' people using the railway to get away actually enjoyed themselves......when cycles were actually welcomed on board. Escapist in the true sense of the word.

    Curate's Egg

Parts of this were excellent. The Letter to Wales was very well done. The doc. style of the day made other parts very dated and almost propaganda in content. The Cycle ride was interesting and showed a cycle carriage which would be a useful component of modern units
