    As well as being an original comic talent, Richard Pryor has also had the dubious distinction of appearing in a plethora of truly execrable movies. The man has a homing instinct for a dreadful script and this is certainly one of them. This two-handed comedy — Gene Wilder is Pryor's partner in puerile nonsense in their third movie together — manages to waste both men's ability and bore and deeply offend most people at the same time. Quite a feat. Their characters are deaf and blind respectively and the movie hinges on a series of appalling jokes and unoriginal situations, wrapped around a makeshift murder plot.

    must watch film

    its a classic and would be a crime not to view it will have you laughing your socks off from start to end

    My Second Favorite Comedy Of All Time

    Ok, so I am biased about this film. Yes there are some good laugh out loud scenes and the comedy is well crafted. On the minus side it is a little dated with a dodgy ending. Listen carefully to the hidden one liners, you will hear and see something new every time you watch it. Excellent film. My Number 1 comedy? Dumb and Dumber (Check out the Turbolax gag)

    superb

    i've seen this film numerous times before but had to rent it again. doesn't stop being funny no matter how many times you watch it. if you've never seen it-watch it, if you have seen it- watch it again.

    Mildly Amusing

    Mildly amusing tale, although really only one joke that got worked to death by the end of the film, so much so that I was kind of relieved it was over. Kevin Sspacey was dreadful though with a rotten English accent.. I bet he does not like being reminded of this film!

    Superb Film!

    I dont normally like older films but as this sounded pretty funny, i thought id rent it. Im so glad i did because this is such a funny classic film. Keeps you laughing all the way through and a very good story line. A must have if you havent seen it.

    see no evil hear no evil

    one of the silliest films ever,so funny can never see it enough, if you want an easy to watch film this is a must,predictable jokes but well worth watching fantastic hee!!

    My heading says it all. I couldn't watch it all the way through. How anyone could find this puerile nonsense funny is beyond me.
