Little do they know, the dog was formerly a trained FBI drug-sniffer and was an important witness to a crime. When a pair of hit men come around, trying to assassinate the dog, SEE SPOT RUN explodes into a comic kaleidoscope of outrageous gags and near-escapes reminiscent of HOME ALONE.

A shaggy-dog story for the half-term holidays, this tells the tale of an FBI supermutt who teams up with a postman to thwart an attempt by the Mob on the dog's life. Toss into the mix a cute little kid and two half-baked Italian-American hit men, and it all sounds like the recipe for a right dog's dinner. And at times See Spot Run is a bit of a dog's dinner. The film has its fair share of boring sequences and third-rate scatological humour. Yet David Arquette gives an enthusiastic performance as said postman, and there are some nice, relatively straight-faced support performances from Paul Sorvino, pizza-faced Joe Viterelli and Michael Clarke Duncan (the man-mountain from The Green Mile). Two parts Home Alone to one part Turner and Hooch, See Spot Run may not have a good pedigree, but take the children as a half-term treat and they probably won't be disappointed.
"...SEE SPOT RUN has some cute sight gags, and Mr. Arquette's Gordon, with his Cheshire Cat grin and cross-eyed daffiness, is a bouncing, break-dancing bubble of helium..."
Absolutely rip roaringly funny! My kids and I were rolling about on the floor most of the way through it, especially during the doggie doo doo incident, rent it if you want the biggest laugh you've had in ages! David Arquette is hilarious, and Spot is so cute (if you can call this type of dog cute!).
A good fun kids movie also to be enjoyed by dog lovers!
