Jokey but uninteresting horror that attempts some feeble humour at the expense of the film industry and actresses willing to take the casting couch route to stardom.

You should certainly give this fifth filthily funny spawn from the Child's Play franchise the old suck'n'see
this film is good, lots of blood and gore, and also amusing in places, chucky doesn't like having a son who's a goody goody, but things change, for all chucky lovers this film will not dissapoint.
Chucky needs no introduction.
Just like Michael Myers, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, Chucky will go in the Horror Hall Of Fame as one of the most loved killers in movie history.
I think that one word, "loved", shows us what these movies have become now. While movies like Nightmare On Elm Street and Halloween will always be viewed as classics in the horror genre, their sequels are undoubtedly sub-par and we actually like the killers rather than being scared of them.
Chucky has gone in a different direction now, more to a comedy/horror, and it works well as long as you're not expecting the creepy scares of the first few movies.
The characters are humorous and there is gore but it's more comical. So see this movie in the right frame of mind and it's very enjoyable.
Brad Dourif is great as Chucky as usual, Jennifer Tilly pulls double duty as Tiffany and HERSELF, and Billy Boyd does a very interesting performance as the "seed"! They work really well together and are very believable as a dysfunctional doll family! The great effects improvement that Bride brought in over the previous movies are again evident here and extremely well done.
I prefer Bride Of Chucky I must admit, but at least this movie tries to be something different, which most horror sequels cannot be bothered to do!
As usual, the ending leaves it open for ANOTHER sequel. Lets hope so!
Each sequel just seems to get worse and worse. Not at all scary and some vulgar and inappropriate scenes for the 15 age rating. If you are a parent wanting to give your 'mature' 13 year old a special viewing - please don't, as it does stretch the guidance rating. (and there's not even much explicit violence!)
Definately one for the devoted fans only, but probably just as much as a let down for them too.

This film was not at all great. I think the son spoiled the mood. It just didn't have that same feel as Bride Of Chucky or Childs Play. However it comes with the funny one liners you'd expect from Chucky and his Bride. The killings are exellent just not as good as the previous films.

'Ooops they did it again!' I think the screenwriter (Don Mancini) has finally realised just how ludicrous a killer-doll plot is and has tried to alleviate his confusion by presenting a surreal slapstick horror.
If Chucky fans think this incarnation will be as great as its predecessors, they're in for an unpleasant shock. Despite being mildly entertaining, mildly amusing and overly grotesque 'Seed of Chucky' just doesn't stab you in all the right places.
If you're after a great horror flick, stay well away from Chucky as he just won't scare you. If however you're content with a few 'Chucky Chuckles' and gory slashes (a disturbing combination) then you're sure to get them by renting this DVD.
The original Childsplay movie is certainly a favourite of mine. Dark, twisted and scary. Sometimes it's easy to forget that Chucky started life in a horror franchise.
After two forgetful sequels Chucky struck back in 'The Bride of Chucky' a wickedly funny and brutal road movie which gave new life to a dying franchise. Okay, so it certainly moved away from its horror routes but who cares when it was so deliriously entertaining.
Now comes 'Seed of Chucky' and it would seem that the horror element has been dispensed with all together. Sticking firmly to comedy 'Seed of Chucky' certainly has its moments but much of the film fails to deliver.
The three leads are as watchable as ever but the human characters fail to raise interest and the film feels very empty once the initial splattering of blood is dispensed with.
Its a shame because 'Seed of Chucky' feels like a huge waste of an opportunity; what could have been a hilarious stab at family ties turns out to be yet another gutless horror comedy.
It would seem that Chucky really did get lucky last time out.
The chuck is back this film is worth watching just for the scene with the reporter spying through the window!!!! lots of blood and laughs but not as good as number 4
I find it unbelievable that anyone ever gave this script the green light. So many people involved in producing this b0ll0cks. The computer generated sperm in opening credits is some of the worst CGI i've seen in a motion picture. I've got Xbox games that look more realistic. You'd have to be mentally retarded if you find this film even remotely amusing.
Stupid, preposterous, ridiculous and pointless. Utter tripe. Avoid.
Biggest pile of pooh I have ever seen.
Childs play was a cult classic and most of us can remember the first time we saw Chucky come to life, I never have managed to trust any dolls I see since that day... So what went wrong?
Childs play 2 and 3 both slacked off a little from the first but they still gripped you due to the love you had from the first movie, then came 'The Bride of Chucky'... someone had to be smoking something whilst making that one.. Then we got 'The seed of Chucky' this film doesn't warrant the title 'horror film', they have tried to turn the mass murdering doll Chucky (Charles Lee Ray) into a comedy figure and failed miserably, this film has personally ruined my memories of chucky.. I hope they know where to stop and we don't get subjected to 'The nephew of Chucky' or some other desperate attempt to keep this going in years to come.. All in all they have taken a great horror and tried to flip it into a comedy and along the way forgot what a good guy doll was all about....
Unfortunatley after the brilliant rebirth of the Childsplay Series with Bride of Chucky, Seed has killed it off. Although there are couple of good in-jokes they are used too frequently. The premise is that the Chucky and Tiff have a Child that doesn't like the way his parents kill people, but before he's even met them, he's having nightmares of being a serial killer himself.
You won't be watching this for the plot however. Unfortunatley all the killings have been seen before and have been pulled off better elsewhere. I fear Chucky has sown his last seed.

Everybody's favourite serial-killing psycho-doll is back from the grave
This joyously bonkers comedy-horror is not for the squeamish!
Outrageous gore. Bombastic good fun
