I'm not one for a rom com, but this one was actually quite sweet... Keira Knightley is annoyingly kooky and is the reason I rated this film with 3. 5 and not 4 stars... She delivers her lines with as much conviction as a parrot. Steve Carrell though however, seems truly like a man staring at oblivion and the film doesn't bottle it when it comes to the story... A touching funny film somewhere between Miracle Mile,the forty year old virgin and Armageddon. Though not a patch on the first one I mentioned on a parr with the second and miles better than the last film I mentioned... They could have made more of the dog though!- Was this review helpful to you?

Disappointing waste of time
By a customer , 17 May 2013I really wanted this film to be good. I wanted it to be 'hilarious' just like the blurb says. I like the actors. I like the characters. However, there really is no story. fantastic and sad
