An unlikely 'great' movie
By a customer from High Wycombe, UK , 13 Dec 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Sehar is not a movie boasting of big names but it is a really slick movie with a tight script and very powerful performances.
Arshad Warsi has really done justice to the role of SSP Ajay Kumar.
The movie is apparently based on life of notorious gangster S P Shukla of UP.
If you are from Hindi Belt you will like the movie for its dialogues. It has been a long time since I have heard good use of words like prashasan, utpeedan, bhrashtachar, dhancha.
The movie portrays an interesting perspective of how the police adjusted itself to new weapon of organised crime - mobile phone.
All in all - a surprise package. Very well written and directed movie supported by a very able star cast. Except for Mahima Chaudhury all actors have lived their characters very well.
There are 2 brilliant songs - one a title song and another love song.
Great Movie - must watch it.- Was this review helpful to you?
