Nowhere as good as Talledega Nights!
My favourite Farrell flick is undoubtedly 'Talledega Night' followed by 'Blades of Glory'. This film is by far the worst of Farrell. Not very funny, silly flaky plotline and Farrell just didn't have the same magic he had in his others. This was a waste of time for me, and I'm sure that fans will agree, or not....apparently it grossed alot of money in the Box Office in the States!

Semi-funny
This is no 'Anchorman', nor indeed a 'Blades of Glory', but instead Ferrell doing his silly sportsman schtick only this time in the basketball arena. And because it's set in the 70s, he gets to run around in an Afro. Less manic than some of his previous comedies, it at least takes full advantage of its more adult rating to let rip with some inventive language and an admittedly funny subplot involving a bear.

Hoop dreams can come true - Will Ferrell's basketball comedy Semi-Pro has dribbled its way to the top of the US box office chart, according to the latest figures from Nielsen. The movie - the tale of no-hopers the Flint Michigan Tropics and their bid for NBA glory - which also stars Woody Harrelson and Andre Benjamin of Outkast, took over $15 million on its opening weekend.
