My favourite Farrell flick is undoubtedly 'Talledega Night' followed by 'Blades of Glory'. This film is by far the worst of Farrell. Not very funny, silly flaky plotline and Farrell just didn't have the same magic he had in his others. This was a waste of time for me, and I'm sure that fans will agree, or not....apparently it grossed alot of money in the Box Office in the States!
This is no 'Anchorman', nor indeed a 'Blades of Glory', but instead Ferrell doing his silly sportsman schtick only this time in the basketball arena. And because it's set in the 70s, he gets to run around in an Afro. Less manic than some of his previous comedies, it at least takes full advantage of its more adult rating to let rip with some inventive language and an admittedly funny subplot involving a bear.
