  • Many of the film's pleasures are down to small-screen values... and the good-humoured playing of an experienced, non-starry ensemble cast

    • Sight and Sound
  • Scene for scene, SERENITY is more engaging and certainly better written and acted than any of Mr. Lucas's recent screen entertainments.

    Painful

I lost the will to watch more after the first few cliches. I did try to get into this but I could not find anything different or anything that had an outstanding or redeeming quality.

It is a shame because I usually manage to enjoy either the storyline or some good acting or special effects which I like about a movie but sadly I found this one just too mediocre.

Watched this a few weeks ago - can't recall much of it so it didn't really make that much of an impression.

Telling the story of a successful businessman who returns to his small-town roots, the movie features an Oscar-nominated... Read more
