One of the funniest films i have ever watched

This film is a must see as it is funny and extreamley entertaining. I would describe sgt Bilko as a family comedy and Steve Martin plays the role of sgt Bilko very well.

It makes Phil Silvers look the best

Maybe I expected too much, remembering Phil Silvers as Bilko from the original black and white TV programs. I kept comparing Steve Martin and found his performance a bit lacking - he just seemed to be trying to do a Phil Silvers imitation, which didn't quite make it. However, as a film, it was amusing and enjoyable to watch, and reminded just how good the TV series was.
