Most helpful review
Still as good as ever.
By Keith Maynard from Brighton, England , 10 Jun 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
A five star belter from the day it was released. Still as fresh and entertaining as it was 40 years ago. Many have tried, but none succeded, in filming a better dance sequence. The shere exuberance and athleticism is unsurpassed. And the studio didn't think it would be a hit!!- Was this review helpful to you?

(36)Past down to Generations it's that good!
By Fae (22 reviews) from Bournemouth , 03 Jan 2013This is a chilhood film for me my granny got it on vhs for me and my sister and then later on in yrs I replaced it to dvd. Its still one of my top favourite childhood movies and it was on the other day on tv which was the 1st time I have ever seen it on the box. Anyway if you haven't seen this, get popcorn, cosy blanket and a cup of tea and get ready to be blown away with amazing songs, great dancing and romantic scenes that will just want you begging for more! Howard Keel bursts out into great tunes with his powerful voice where Jane Powell will have you enchanted with hers so go ahead watch it and be swept away with one of the most romantic musicals I've ever seen...- Was this review helpful to you?

Cheesy but good!
By a customer from County Durham , 13 Feb 2012My Dad has been saying how dreadful this film is for years so thought I'd give it a whirl.
To be fair, it was better than what I expected - which were quite low to be fair- but it was very cheerful and in the middle of winter what more can you ask for.
The wood chopping and sound effect are out of time though...!- Was this review helpful to you?
