Seven StarsBy Jon Smith from Bedford, England , 03 Sep 2003
[Highly rated reviewer]Seven is probably Brad Pitt's finest achievement to date. Morgan Freeman is, as always, absolutely breathtakingly good and top marks to David Fincher for an epic journey into obsession, the grotesque and twisted morality. Seven is a detective story - It is a movie about two detectives, with Freeman as the wise, learned retiring cop tempering the maverick, young wild card Pitt. The two characters are forced to work together by circumstance rather than choice and thus the relationship is, at times, strained. A killer is on the loose causing a spate of deaths (well, Seven to be precise) across the City which are related to the Seven Deadly Sins. The viewer is taken on a journey into the mind of the killer and into the minds of those hunting him - Well worth renting. If you enjoyed this movie - read Complicity by Iain Banks (don't bother with the movie version). Another sterling performance by Brad Pitt can be seen in Twelve Monkeys

Disc 2By eeza (2 reviews) , 15 May 2013Not one of their best films, very predictable, but when disc 2 arrive the following week we thought it was another film, of course it wasn't, waist of time should be thrown in the bin.

A bit disappointingBy KcAndLola (38 reviews) , 25 Mar 2013While I can appreciate this is a well made film; great acting and some really amazing prosthetic/makeup, I found it really predictable and a bit slow. If you've ever seen the TV series Messiah, you've seen this film, only with more gore and some less famous actors. I wouldn't say don't watch it, but I'd say don't expect to be shocked and thrilled or really drawn into any mystery... Sadly didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped.
Outstanding and amazing film with the best acting I have seen for a long timeBy KelSmell (185 reviews) from Telford , 19 Mar 2013This thoroughly was an amazing film with outstanding acting from the likes of Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman and also Kevin Spacey. It was an absolutely brilliant film and I loved every second. The storyline was superb. This is a film, that I would recommend to friends and family. It is worth a watch and I would watch it again and again. It is a timeless film.
Amazing film!By GlasgowChris78 (27 reviews) from Kent, England , 21 Feb 2013Surely one of the best films of all time; with an amazing script and fantastic performances. Even after multiple viewings, Se7en continues to be gripping, tense and hugely entertaining. A modern classic and a must-see!
The Best Modern ThrillerBy GaryI (785 reviews) from March, Cambs , 18 Feb 2013Film Retrospective: Seven is to me David Fincher's best film, it's the quintessential dark, foreboding thriller and ranks as one of the best in the serial killer genre. Kevin Spacy is downright eerie as the killer & Brad Pitt & Morgan Freeman are excellent. A modern classic, and a film everyone must see.
