not too bad i suppose but could have been a bit more added acting was a bit wooden in some scenes but plenty of blood and fighting but nothing to really shout about

16th century dark blood thirsty times the churches henchmen killing and burning anybody who did anything against the church or who was different.

A story of a couple who because the woman is the daughter of the executioner so is damned and has to live outside the town is not recognised by the church has to get the heretics to marry them and baptist the child.

Its as much about jealousy and hate as anything else.

A bit to bloodthirsty at times.

History education at its best. Hard to imagine that this was only a few centuries ago. Showing the church in its true light. Opression, inhuman treatment and forcing people to obay its structure. An example of 'might is right'. Amazing that the church is still tollerated in our society. An eye opener.

Not really that good but it could have been a lot better. The acting was very flat, the plot was not really there and the action wasn't that great. This had all the feel of a B movie made to a tight budget so the action and effects couldn't be made that good. This is by no means an epic or a top class effort but if you like the genre and have an evening free you could watch it with little expectation and not be overly disappointed.
