A quaint movie with lots of charm and despite lots of cliches - an elderly kind-hearted black-man, skinny-dipping in the lake, hiding moonshine from the cops,etc.
The kids in the film are a big plus. They come across as very natural and hold their own in scenes with a very talented adult cast.

Unsuitable family fare
By a customer from Scotland , 17 Jun 2005The language, especially used by the children, offended my wife and I. We watched about 10 minutes and that was it. It sure wasn't going to get any better but rather worse. If I had know about the content before hand I wouldn't have rented it.- Was this review helpful to you?
