Dench donates Shakespeare In Love playhouse set to theatre group

A theatre set handed to the British Shakespeare Company by actress Dame Judi Dench is to be turned into a real playhouse. Dench offered the oak-timbered set, modelled on London's 16th century Rose Theatre for 1998 movie Shakespeare In Love, to the troupe after she won an Oscar for portraying Queen Elizabeth I in the romantic comedy. Actor Joseph Fiennes is to become a first time father, according to reports. The Shakespeare In Love star, 39, is said to be expecting a baby with his Swiss model wife, Maria Dolores Dieguez, 27, who he married in Tuscany, Italy last month (Aug09). The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is bending its rules to allow The Reader's four producers - including late filmmakers Anthony Minghella and Sydney Pollack - to contend for a Best Picture Oscar.
