Most helpful review
No depth at all
By Waterboy (34 reviews) from Hertfordshire , 05 Apr 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Just after I reviewed this film it pops up on Channel 4 again, and it is evn worse than I remembered. One of the flatmates is a doctor and is calling the police when the money is found. Neither of the other flamates knows about it or wants it; so Ewan could have done a runner in the first ten minutes. This time I gave up after a quarter of an hour, convinced my that earlier review was too kind.- Was this review helpful to you?

(66)Classic Danny Boyle
By vikcar (8 reviews) , 24 Mar 2013A brilliant classic. Love Christopher Ecclestone and this shows what a good actor he is. Love Danny Boyle films and this 1 is one of his better ones- Was this review helpful to you?

Great idea, great film.
By Jameseyboy (2 reviews) , 14 May 2012This film is another classic example of Danny Boyle's great directing combined with Ewan McGregor's fine acting. I thought it was well casted and although we don't find out much about the 'bad guys' you don't need to cause it's just one of those movies that is very cool. It plays on that old age question 'what would I do with a giant bag of money?' and brings the question into a quite literal scenario.- Was this review helpful to you?

This pushed me to my first review.....
By a customer , 05 Mar 2012.......please be warned and don't waste any time on this truely terrible film.
I love Brit films, try Cemetary Junction or Made in Dagenham, try anything but this.
The story is shallow, unbelievable and uncaptivating. I really cared not one iota what happened. The acting was poor. As another reviewer remarks, it has not aged well.
Somebody is trying to be arty, you can see what they are trying, you can also see they failed terribly. I sacrificed myself getting to the end of this, so you don't have to.- Was this review helpful to you?

A true British classic...
By JafarIqbal (54 reviews) from London , 04 Feb 2012Darkly funny, full of twists, but drags on a bit in the middle. Ewan McGregor and Danny Boyle's best movie by far.- Was this review helpful to you?

Entertaining... not very complex, but ok
By a customer , 01 Feb 2012Very entertaining.
It's not a film jewel, as the plots is not too deep or twisted. It does not explore the characters too much, but good entertainment. Simple and to the point.
The acting sort of holds up the whole lack of depth, I guess?- Was this review helpful to you?
