Actor Timothy Spall fell to his knees and prayed to God when he was told he had cancer. The Harry Potter star was filming a commercial in 1996 when he was diagnosed with acute leukaemia and ordered to attend a hospital for emergency treatment. The stunned star fell to his knees and begged for divine intervention - and his prayers were seemingly answered when aggressive chemotherapy put the disease in remission. An associate producer for the forthcoming Terminator Salvation movie has defended Christian Bale's alleged on-set rant, explaining the actor was a "consummate professional" during filming. A man said to be actor Bale can be heard angrily screaming and using profanity at the movie's director of photography, Shane Hurlbut, for distracting him during shooting by walking into his field of vision. Terminator Salvation director Mcg can see the funny side of Christian Bale's foul-mouthed on-set tirade - insisting he loves the online remixed version of the now notorious rant. Last week (begs02Feb08), a four-minute audio of Bale's outburst, in which he used the F-word 35 times, was leaked online.
