Inoffensive family fun...
By Tomosan (41 reviews) from Hindhead , 02 Oct 2011An hour and three quarters of affable family cinema. The plot is weak and incredulous, the characters stereotypical; despite this, Chan and Wilson work well as a double act and the entertainment keeps coming. The comedy is little low-brow but not cringeworthy and the action scenes are passable.- Was this review helpful to you?

fun movie
By sindbad (4 reviews) , 06 Sep 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
Jackie Chan is great. Thanks for yet another fun movie.
It's refreshing to see a 'tough guy' get hurt a little like realistically. He really puts an effort into movie making.
The plot wasn't particularly inspired, although it is better than average. There were a few interesting moments dealing with serious issues (slavery, freedom, love).- Was this review helpful to you?

Critics were bullied at school
By a customer , 16 Jun 2011Were the critics expecting a oscar nominated film from a guy who has a 50% grasp of the English langauge and a frequent inability to land on his feet doing stunts, both of which he is more than happy to show at the end of his films in the outtakes.
How many of the oscar nominated actors and indeed winners in the films today would be willing to do that.
A great film and hats off to you Mr Chan for adding an extra hour and a half to the many hours of entertainment you have already provided me.- Was this review helpful to you?
