You need to be in a certain frame of mind to watch 'Shark Attack 3'. The eastern European actors whose voices have been badly overdubbed, the alarmingly bad dialogue, the stock footage of sharks swimming culled from a handful of nature documentaries - it's hardly Oscar material.
In fact, I doubt it appeared on the Golden Raspberries' radar, but don't let that put you off: I haven't seen a funnier film in years, and the fact that it's unintentional makes the enjoyment all the sweeter. One line in particular, assuming you're not easily offended, will have you in stitches for weeks.
Do not watch this if you take your films seriously.
I would catergorize this film as a comedy rather than a thriller and if you treat it as such then you will enjoy it. It is very entertaining.
I chose to watch it with friends with a few beers and it had us in hysterics. The scenes were the shark actually attacks are are just as hilarious as the acting itself.
The lead role, played by Torchwoods John Barrowman, is the piece de resistance. The poor mans Tom Cruise (as he is known in the movie world) really made me smile. I believed that even HE knew it was a bad film and to an extent played on that which was pleasant to see.
And of course this film contains possibly the greatest line ever written. Look out for that one!
