great snipit of a classic
By a customer from Sheffield , 01 Dec 2008[Highly rated reviewer]
this dvd is a feature length continuation of a classic story, with something for everyone.
it has plenty of action, romance, drama, sex and violence. with Sharpe sounding more and more yorkshire than ever before. it follows sharpe trying to get home but ending up on a path of protection and love with some twists along the way. great entertainment and well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

By Warren1664 (2 reviews) , 17 Jun 2012Sharpe at his best. Very easy to follow, Some great scenes in India giving to viewer an idea of the vast county the empire once occupied.- Was this review helpful to you?

One of the better ones in the series...
By Chrisaljack (307 reviews) from Hellingly , 05 Mar 2012Typical Sharpe; always in the thick of it! Lots of action, as usual a damsel in distress and Sharpe and Harper saving the day - and at least looking as though they might have actually seen some real action... Good fun!- Was this review helpful to you?

Not the best blu-ray conversion
By a customer , 14 Nov 2011I am a big fan of Sharpe but I felt that the Blu-Ray conversion lacked some quality and with a couple of scenes, it seemed like a few frames were missing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Shape is now a Lt Col the highest rank an enlisted soldier can be promoted to; make a daring rescue in the face of the enemy against all the odds. Shape and his ever present side kick Sergeant Major Patrick Harper takes on the enemy full on great to watch ..- Was this review helpful to you?

Worth Watching if You're a Fan
By a customer from London , 08 Mar 2010I thought this was a very good, entertaining watch. Had all the elements you would expect from a Sharpe adventure, ticked all the boxes. Ok, it's not as good as the best of the show in the 90's, but its certainly better than Sharpe's Challenge and many of the mediocre ones from the original run.- Was this review helpful to you?
