I find it very difficult to criticise anything in this series ! Ok, some of the acting is a bit wooden in places, but you can't help but get drawn into this rousing, patriotic action series. Sean Bean is perfect as the common as muck but tough as hob nailed boots hero, Sharpe. The action is realsitic and thick and fast and to top it all, it has a memorable theme tune and score that adds to the passion of each epsiode. Stirring stuff, but if you are going to watch Sharpe, make sure you get the discs in order as they dont get issued as a boxset.
