This game after a while of playing gets well... boring after you have gone down each mountain 10 or more times you just think to yourself what else can i do. The truth be told, well you cant do anything. After you have pulled off every trick it has to offer gone up every ramp and seen every sight.

A few good things about this game is that it has inspired me to go snowboarding again. Also the graphics arnt too bad either just what you expect for a game of this calibre.

So my overall opinion of this game would be, if your into snowboarding or skiing then by all means get it but apart from that i would just say to you get it if you want it but it wont be as good as you are thinking its going to be.

I got the disc, put it in my PS3 and played this game for about 45 minutes, before returning it to the envelope and sending it back.

If you have ever played a classic snowboarding game (1080, SSX, Amped) then you will see how flawed this game is.

it might just be me, but this game is hard to get to grips with controls, I've played games like Tony Hawk and was expecting controls like that.

    GHOST IN THE GAME!

If you just let go of the controls the game just plays itself and you end up just travelling to the bottom of the mountain which I found very frustrating.

I simply did not have the patients for this game to get to grips with controls.

The idea of a freestyle snowboarding game is brilliant, I'm a snowboarder myself and was excited to play this, but this is just horribly bad. I advice not to get this game.

The levels are just repetitive same old same old. Graphics and initial game play I have to say are very good, really puts me in the mood for snowboarding, if my wrist wasn't fractured from being on the sloped at the weekend I would be up there now.

    GAME NEEDS IMPROVEMENT!

....Where are all the snowboarding games then? This is the only one?! I was really hoping for more from this game considering the lack of competition. Firstly, the slightly clunky controls mean hitting tricks and combos is a frustrating task, making the ridiculous score targets nigh on impossible to achieve. The lack of real variation in both landscape & challenges means youll probably end up playing this when you cant be asked with anything else, rather than slogging it out top the end. One nice touch though is the loading screen, which is a half pipe you can mess about on until you decide to actually play the game (sometimes the pipe is more entertaining X) If youre only looking for some no frills pick up and play snowboarding, chances are youll enjoy shawn whites. personally, ill hold on til SSX!

In my opinion a snowboarding game should flow like Mirrors Edge, but Shaun White flows like a wardrobe tumbling down a flight of stairs. The controls are very hard to get to grips with and it isn't that rewarding when you string together a big combo. The story line is practically non-existant with Shaun only appearing briefly every so often before vanishing to do something more intreresting leaving the player to get on with the extrmemley repetitive task of collecting tokens strewn about each mountain. This makes gameplay very repetitive and there is no real incentive to carry on. The sound track is less than origional, with tracks coming from Grand Theft Auto and the Guitar Hero games. In its defence the graphics and audio effects are very good but these don't make up for the poor game play.
