Old fashioned, but a bit of a hit and miss.By VIDEOMONSTER (252 reviews) from Glasgow , 20 Jun 2010
[Highly rated reviewer]This is definitely an old fashioned romantic comedy, where guy and girl meet and fall in love; they break-up and get back together. The message of it's who you are underneath not what you look like is shouted loud and proud, with many references to Disney classics Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast. The film itself is enjoyable with amiable performances from Jay Baruchel (though slightly whiny) and Alice Eve. The supporting cast try to give it the toilet humour, which unfortunately doesn't really go with the tone of the movie (there is an overlong and unecessary bathroom scene). Overall the movie is enjoyable, not a classic by any mean but a crowd pleaser nonetheless.

a whole lot of funBy a customer , 03 Nov 2013I mean She's Out of My League is right up there with The 40 year old Virgin(2005), and I Love You, Man(2009), a raunchy vulgar comedy that manages to have a heart to it. I mean Role Models(2008), hardly had anybody likable in it, and it was a big hit, and i'm still trying to figure that one out. But this film had two likable leads that you wanna route for. Kirk(Jay Baruchel from Knocked Up), works at at an airport, he's a nice guy, but painfully shy and insecure. His buddies that he works with say thats because women don't consider him boyfriend material, cause he is too safe. But all that changes one day when the ever so enchantingly beautiful Molly(Alice Eve) forgets her cell phone, while boarding a plane, she uses her friends cell phone to call her cell phone, and Kirk finds it and answers it, she asks him can he hold it for her. Kirk brings it back to her, Alice soon wants to spend more time with Kirk. But will Kirk insecurities ruin it?

Minor leagueBy RJNeb2 (1012 reviews) from London , 10 Nov 2012Not outrageously funny, not outrageously offensive, not outrageously too sweet. In fact, not much of much really, this comedy about a nerdy airport security guy who cant believe his luck when a hot blonde seems interested in him has an array of colourful supporting characters to keep it vaguely lively. And two leads who are fine but not especially interesting.
