Action man Tatum signs up for GI Joe

Step Up and She's The Man star Channing Tatum is the latest name to enlist in the forthcoming live action version of GI Joe, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The roster for the Paramount project, which is currently in development, already includes Sienna Miller, Rachel Nichols, Little Man star Marlon Wayans and Star Wars' Darth Maul, Ray Park. Hoop dreams can come true - Will Ferrell's basketball comedy Semi-Pro has dribbled its way to the top of the US box office chart, according to the latest figures from Nielsen. The movie - the tale of no-hopers the Flint Michigan Tropics and their bid for NBA glory - which also stars Woody Harrelson and Andre Benjamin of Outkast, took over $15 million on its opening weekend. Former soccer hard man turned Hollywood star Vinnie Jones (Snatch, She's The Man, Played) has just signed for a new sports film. It won't be advisable for Vinnie to attempt any 'keepy-uppy' on set however, as the role is in Tommy Reid's new bowling comedy, 7-10 Split.
