    Strength In Shelter

I was pleasantly surprised at just how good this film was. The whole production, from casting to filming had a feel of a movie of a much grander budget. The writer was allowed to let the story unfold naturally without rushing to the ‘gay’ bit; the acting sublime and characters were very real and likeable. I’m not into surfing at all but I enjoyed those scenes as if was absorbed in the sport. What I really found refreshing was just how realistic the love story was wove in to the fabric of these people’s lives and although it was present it wasn’t the overriding theme of this classy picture, that was about the struggle of trying not just to live, but exist when you have hardly any money or anything at all. Would I rent it again? No, I bought the film ten minutes after I finished watching it!
