Having only just discovered this series of adaptions to TV I kicked off with this episode thanks to the good reviews and I have to agree with them. Jeremy Brett plays Holmes to perfection. I would be hard pressed to think of an actor that would suit the part as well. Jeremy plays Holmes just as I imagined him when I read the books several years ago.
As for this particular episode it is entertaining and faithful to the book which makes it hard not to like!
