i love all the sherlock films but this is one of my favourites.the music boxes in the auction are sold off but sherlock must find the buyers and piece together why one person wants all the boxes.watch them all for perfect sunday afternoon viewing.the picture and sound are fine for such vintage films.dont be put off.- Was this review helpful to you?

(3)'Bloimey! Mr 'Owmes!'
By Squizz (43 reviews) from Lancaster , 28 Jun 2007AKA 'SH and the Secret Code', the final Rathbone film is solid enough, the action speeding between Dartmoor Prison, the Gaylord auction rooms and one last crazy pub where Holmes' friend Joe may well be distantly related to Dick van Dyke (see above).
The fact that it's musical boxes instead of Napoleon busts doesn't hide that this is a cut-and-shut of earlier entries 'Secret Weapon' and 'Pearl of Death'. The title presumably alludes to Patricia Morison's alarming hat which could invoke coronaries. Watson quacks like a duck, we meet his oily friend Stinky Emory (a knowing performance from Edmond Breon) and Sherlock deduces like a good 'un.
Well-timed comedy, clever script references to Watson's writing, and good playing from the leads bring the on-the-whole fun series to a close.- Was this review helpful to you?
