Michael Chiklis stars as Vic Mackey, perhaps television's most unpopular, no-nonsense detective, and leader of the elite Strike Team unit. Whilst the first series of The Shield was highly enjoyable and brilliantly made, this is where the word 'masterpiece' comes into play. This series ranks proudly alongside the very best of Six Feet Under and The Sopranos. With pitch perfect acting, wonderfully inventive direction, and skilfull screenwriting that can rank calmly alongside the true greats, this is rich evidence of a show gleefully coming into its own. The entire series is driven by a deeply compelling sub-plot about the possible robbery of a large ring of Armenian drug runners, and the relentless drama never lets up for a single second. Wonderful, superlative television. Don't miss!
The shield series 2 continues with the same intense and gripping action and drama that the 1st series gave us.
Fantastic and a must see American series... as addictive as 24. Send me the next.
