Shot on location over many countries, SHIRLEY�S WORLD also features the ever elegant John Gregson, as MacLaine�s character�s London editor. The series became very popular in the U.K. and when it was cancelled by American executives, Hollywood darling MacLaine was offered a huge amount of money to resume the role for a British funded production, but she refused.
