a journalist pretends to be mentally ill to be locked up in an institute where an unsolved murder was committed and then finds that he is losing his own grip on reality. It is silly and sensationalist and the BBFC were quite right to ban it at the time as people with psychiatric problems could well do without the portrayal they are given in this film. In the extras todays 'sophisticated' audiences are derided for laughing at this film but frankly its a companion piece to Reefer Madness. Best bit of dialogue is when he wanders into the womens section and finds himself surrounded by women (who all look like showgirls) and says 'Uh-oh Nymphos'
