superior production to 10th Kingdom'
By a customer from not where i wanna be , 20 Jan 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
It concerns the destiny of a Canuck girl, recently relocated to Scotland after the death of her mother, after she finds a box full of walking, talking miniature animals: an eagle, a bear, a snake and a rather sneaky wolf. She discovers from an old wizard that she is 'The Chosen One' and, with the aid of her new friends, must battle against an evil Shapeshifter to find an ancient book that could hold mankind's fate in the balance.- Was this review helpful to you?

(26)Well acted fantasy using some real historical people and places.
By crispin40 (556 reviews) from Stirling, Scotland , 25 Feb 2013I really enjoyed the series when it was originally on TV and having watched both discs in the series 1, I've loved it again. Script excellent, actors were all to their usual standard. The young actress who played Marnie was especially good in her first role. The settings in and around Edinburgh were terrific - show off my adopted country in its finest light. I've requested the second series but I know that is not set in Scotland - I can't remember the ending tho so it will be good to see it again.- Was this review helpful to you?

Disappointing
By a customer from High Wycombe , 22 Oct 2008To be fair it wasn't the movie that was disappointing. It was the fact that only one DVD of the series is provided ensuring disappointment from the children. Even when DVD 2 was provided there was no end to the story in sight. I am unsure if this is how the story ends - if so what a let down or, if there are further DVD's to borrow. However, whichever of these is the case the children and I have now lost interest in continuing with this saga. I shall ensure I don't rent movies requiring more than one DVD in future.- Was this review helpful to you?
