  • Good story line, shame about the actors and budget.

    Rated - 3.0 stars

The basic idea for this film is an interesting one, being an alternative to your typical vampire movies. The storyline has great potential, but it is not fully explored in the film probably due to a low budget and to low quality actors. The film was very much carried on the moderate ability of the lead actress, who plays a semi convincing role, one which would have been more convincing if the other actors responded to her in a more realistic manner.

I feel this film is trying hard to be a B-movie, but it doesn't quite cut even that!

Give this film idea to Tim Burton and I'm sure he could do something great with it. It could be a hit if brought out at Halloween!

As it is, this film is a little difficult to watch and the plot jumps around in an odd way. It is worthy of a viewing simply to see what not to do in regard to making a cheap budget film. The lighting is a bit off - too dark when you are meant to be relying on people's expressions and it is very odd to see the flat always lit by candles as if the occupants can't afford proper lighting.

If you don't like poor quality horror films, then don't watch it. If you don't mind watching what directors with small budgets can come up with, then give it a go.

  • B movie?

    Rated - 1.0 star
By Cliff from Nottingham , 18 Apr 2007
Can't believe how bad the acting is in this, all the 'actor's' must have gone to the same school, they really should ask for their money back. I doubt if any went on to be in any other films. The budget too must have been pennies, its so obvious there was no money in this. But the positives are that it was a good idea for a movie, and could have been a decent B flick, all the horror additives are there but used painfully badly. Never the worst film i've ever seen, at least its not one of those camcorder 'efforts', but not really one to recommend.

  • Purgatory!

I managed to watch it for about 30 minutes and then had to eject it. The acting is dire, the special effects amateurish and the plot absurd. Don't bother!
