In concept a bit like Love Actually... but good!

Very arch in concept and delivery, like a Woody Allen imitation. It's faults are very apparent: most of the actors appear to be on the verge of laughter when delivering their lines - even though their characters are meant to be going through romantic trauma - and the documentary interview style dotted throughout the film simply doesn't ring true because the characters reveal secrets about themselves that they simply don't want anyone to know. So what's their motive in revealing them in a documentary that will shown to the world? Having said that there are a few funny lines, which makes it mildly entertaining.

If you like Ed burns previous films, you will enjoy this. Sex, Infidelity, relationships and new york, are all covered.

As with other films it's very talky, and the cast is good, David Krumholtz is both pathetic creepy and loveable. In fact the only weak link is Heather Graham, who seems to be holding back.

I much prefer The Brothers McMullen.

I read somewhere that this was like Love Actually, only set in New York. I feel it's the antithesis of Love Actually. True, the end is marginally uplifting, but the idea that the gritty realities of life and relationships can give way in the last 15 minutes to some simplified, unrealistic happy ever after endings for all but the one character with no redeeming features is completely lacking in credibility.

The cast was promising, so I was expecting great things, but I was sorely disappointed.

I found this film very hard to stay tuned into. It had nothing in the way of gripping moments nor did it invite me to watch it again.

Deadly dull nothing like Love Actually and just drags on and on no humour, not even an intelligent film
