Interesting although ConfusingBy K Chawgo from London, England , 26 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]This starts out as quite an interesting premise but slowly gets bogged down by flourishing art direction and an unclear narrative. Samuel Jackson is good but not great and everyone else is going through the motions in this murder mystery. Kasi Lemmon directs and uses Jackson again but I think with a better script, she could have repeated the cult success of 'Eve's Bayou'. Not great but not terrible either.

confused you could be!By SteveP022 (19 reviews) , 31 May 2011Not a film for the confused, a well thought out film with a lot of thought gone into the problems associated with schizophrenia, well done mr Jackson I doubt that anyone else could have carried this off. shame that a lot of it was mared by over concentration on pictorial references, which made it hard to follow at times.

Sign of the KillerBy a customer from Lytham St. Annes , 13 Apr 2008Another great Samuel Jackson film which is well worth watching. Great plot, great acting with enough going on to keep anyone guessing till the end. Paranoia by a gifted person who somehow keeps enough sanity to allow his cop daughter to save him in the end, having set up the bad guys. Sadism plays a part and the 'torture chambers' were fairly tastefully done, if thats possible in the cause of 'art'. Great Film.
Very well made surrealist movieBy James from Brighton , 02 Nov 2007Very well made in a surrealist light looking at a murder thru tye eyes of a down n out who has chosen this lifestyle over being rich and popular. We didnt really find out why but it was interesting story in a chapter of his life.
STRANGE BUT GOODBy jono1984 (12 reviews) from Rugby , 24 Sep 2007S L J once again shows us how good of an actor he really is. the film is really strange and has some really weird parts in it which in my view made it a good watch as I havnt seen a film like this in years.
S L J did make me laugth alot even tho it wasnt supposed to because he plays the crazy guy so well, the way he walks, talks, looks, just brilliant.
Watch this if you want a strange 1hr and half
