- Despite the historical interest of the case, it is too simple to merit a film of this length, which is filled with pregnant pauses and romantic asides. Nor are the actors quite so charismatic as they think they are.

  why make something simple so complicated?
  
  The actual story is very simple. With the slow pace and unnecessary bits tuck in the movie, they kinda fell flat on me.
