An enjoyable is slightly Psychoesque thriller staring Margot Kidder as a post op Siamese twin. A murder is commited in her flat which she swears was done by her long dead twin. A news reporter neighbour witnesses the event but has trouble convincing the local police to take her seriously as there is no evidence. There is a little suspense in the film mostly coming from the double camere shots which happen about a third of the way into the film - great stuff. Don't expect any real gore, a few scars, some of the extremely 'red' blood you seemed to get back in the seventies but hey! Topless Margot Kidder for a few seconds!

It can be quite flighty but the film in anchored by an absolutely adorable performance from Miss Kidder, very young here and with a faultless Quebec accent, such a sweet thing couldn't possibly commit a murder could she?

The 'homicidal maniac' in question is a disabled girl who kills one man. It's a big build-up for an even bigger let-down.

    Fantastic film for it's time.

We really don't have films like this any more.

Gore and unnecessary nudity suits me just fine.

How can a film from 1973 include Cloe sevigny who was born in 1974?

Yeah we know De Palma has always ripped off Hitchcock and if your going to do that make sure it's done with style and in my opinion he is the only director that manages to pull this off. This is a great little thriller from 1973 which is shocking, disturbing and very weird oh and also stars the very sexy Margot Kidder. If you haven't seen this movie and there's nothing new out to rent which takes your fancy. Give yourself a little treat and put this on your list.

enjoyable is probably not the word... disturbing is probably better.

Yes, Margot Kidder's accent is a bit annoying and un-necessary but I like De Palma's sense of humour, especially his role reversal of a 'Rear Window' scene.
