Six Feet Under- TV HeavenBy balearicbayes (23 reviews) from Denny , 16 Nov 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]I have just finished one big marathon viewing of the whole series and for me it is the best acted, best scripted tv programme bar none!!! There's not many shows that can make you laugh and cry in the same episode or have you on the edge of your seat in anticipation. That is the beauty of Six Feet Under. The last season was a joy to watch and by the end i was crying like a baby, it was so heartbreaking!!.
The final montage of all the characters fates was so moving to watch but also reassuring to know they all lived full, meaningful lives whilst their loved ones were looking over them. Truly awe- inspiring television and it will be sorely missed. I feel bereaved as i'm sure thousands of other people do?!

ExcellentBy a customer from North Staffs, England , 31 Jul 2006Overall, the 5 series of the show retain a brilliance unseen in television drama - outside of the innovative HBO channel's best productions, though the first two series had such verve and magnificent pacing that it would always be tough to match them. Sure enough series three and four are relatively disappointing, though it would be hard to say the same thing about this final series.
The cast, which has been uniformly brilliant throughout, seems to throw its collective weight behind the fifth series, perhaps in the knowledge that it would be the last, making it a fitting ending to a show with wonderfully humour-filled hours of the most bleak plots you could imagine! The finale is breathtaking and worth seeing many times, though the first two discs seem to struggle to throw off the dirge-like qualities of the preceeding two series.
Overall, though, this series shows others how, and when, to end a succesful show with a bang - and what a bang it is!
BrilliantBy a customer from England , 29 Jul 2006Brilliant TV. Missed the final series on TV, hence the rental of this one. You just can't fault the powerful acting and story of this moving drama.
Cant wait for the next disc to drop in the letter box!
Best ending everBy Phil Morris from Maidstone, England , 22 Jul 2006Wow what an ending. Watched it over and over, cried each time. Wanted the series to continue to find out what happens to these people before 'the end', but think they were so right to end it before it became just another stale series. These writers are the best. Look forward to their next offering.
bad ending to the amazing FishersBy Emily Greenwood from London , 21 Jul 2006What I have always thought as being the best series ever made sadly went down in my estimations after watching the final series. There are still many memorable moments, some great twists and turns in the storyline and the usual excellent performances. But towards the end, the 'dream' sequences become overbearing and take away from what was always for me 'real' drama and emotion. As for the ending...I am still lost for words to describe how bad it is. A totally disapointing ending to what was such a quality show in its prime. Yet another exmaple of not being able to quit while your ahead.

A Magnificent SeriesBy Chris Phillips from Derby, England , 17 Jul 2006A great end to a truly moving series. Six Feet Under really did break new ground and allowed viewers to really get up close & personal with death - everything ends, the season finale was perfectly finished.
