[Highly rated reviewer]Low key and subtle horror film that is a nice antidote to the remake / torture porn tidal wave. Pay attention or you'll miss the central point but if you're concentrating you'll reap the rewards.
Nice idea, but not greatBy TechnoHippy (105 reviews) , 21 Jul 2013Skew is a horror film about three friends that go on a road trip together. One of them has a camera and insists on filming throughout the trip. He sees some strange things with the camera and terrible events follow in their wake. I quite liked it, although I can't say that it's a great film. The main issue for me was that the main characters aren't really that likeable, so maybe I was just hoping that something awful would happen to them. That aside the story progresses quite well, it's well paced. It doesn't rely on gore, which is a plus in my book and has a few creepy moments. Overall, it's ok, worth a rental, or picking up cheap. It doesn't set any new standards, but is reasonably entertaining.
Please AVOID like the plague, or you'll die along with it!!!By ZenZii (192 reviews) from Preston , 18 Apr 2013I really must learn to pick better horror movies the last few have been diabolical including this one!!! Boring, boring, boring, no script I could have done more with a camera than these three, terrible actors. The explanation of the movie three quarter way through, didn't even help the film on the last bit. The ending with the twist was ridiculous and I think thrown in to try and save the film make it memorable??? No I am trying my hardest to forget it now, I wish like taboo I'd played seventeen games of solitaire whilst watching, at least there would have been some excitement!!! Honestly, I only gave one star for the end, but forget the rest its a definite no no. x x x

I play seventeen games of solitaire whilst watching this tripe.By taboo (45 reviews) from Lytham St. Annes , 30 Jul 2012If you wanted to see the winner of the local sixth form video contest then this would be the film for you. Films seen through the lens of one of the actors camera lived and died with Blair Witch. This is amateurish with a nonsensical plot.
I sometimes wonder if these people actually know that they are directing or acting in a crap movie. Maybe they just do it for the experience and to fatten their cv although I'd keep quiet about this one.
